Press Copy signature in the builder and paste it into Gmail's signature box. That's the whole method — Gmail handles the rendered HTML directly.
01Copy, don't download
This is the entire reason Gmail installs fail. Both buttons exist in the builder; for Gmail, only one is right.
Gmail's signature setting takes pasted HTML directly and renders it. The .htm file is for file-based clients like Apple Mail; in Gmail there's nowhere to put it. If you downloaded a file, ignore it and press Copy signature instead.
02Install steps
- Open Gmail's signature settings
In Gmail on the web, click the Settings gear (top-right) → See all settings. On the General tab, scroll to Signature and click + Create new if you don't have one yet.
- Copy from Sigquill, then paste in
Press Copy signature in the builder. Click into the Gmail signature box and paste with Ctrl + V (⌘ + V on Mac). It renders in place — logo, divider, links.

Under Signature defaults, choose your new signature for FOR NEW EMAILS and ON REPLY/FORWARD.
- Save changes
Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes. Gmail doesn't save automatically — this step is easy to miss.
03Check it rendered
Click Compose. Your signature should appear at the bottom of the new message, matching the builder's proof panel. Send one to yourself to confirm images load.
If the signature came in as a wall of unstyled text, the paste dropped formatting — click into the box and paste again with Ctrl + V (not "paste as plain text"). Make sure you used Copy signature, not the downloaded file.
